Kamiya responded by saying "I hope so." Yusuke Hashimoto, director of Bayonetta 2, was asked during a brief interview by magazine GamesMaster what game sequels he'd like to work on, saying it would be Bayonetta 3, mentioning that he already had "all kinds of ideas" in mind for "even more" sequels and a spin-off title. Prior to the game's official announcement in 2017, in July 2013, a fan asked Hideki Kamiya on Twitter in that in the event that Bayonetta 2 is a success, if there would be a third game. Find out what fate awaits Bayonetta, and if this arcane alliance can really save reality! You’ll also slash and slay as Viola, a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire. Sporting a wicked new ensemble and somehow familiar pigtails, the titular Umbra Witch must face a mysterious evil using her signature guns and time-slowing Witch Time ability. Why is she in Tokyo? And how far-reaching is the invasion of this new enemy?" - Plot synopsis īayonetta struts through multiple locations in an all-new, over-the-top climax action game. PlatinumGames wouldn’t ruin B3 knowing that it would be a way too huge of a departure from the previous games in the series."Mysterious life forms appearing to be neither angel nor demon attack amid the ravaged streets of the Shibuya area of Tokyo, where Bayonetta then makes a graceful appearance. Homonculi & Chimera just happen to look like one another and have similar concepts, because they were working on ASTRAL CHAIN and B3 in around the same time. Eggman, but does that mean Bayonetta shares a universe with Sonic/Mario/Metroid/Star Fox/The Wonderful 101? hell no. Heck, look at B2, it had nintendo weapons & costumes. Look at The Wonderful 101, they had Bayonetta, Jeanne, and Rodin as playable characters in there as easter eggs. If you know PG, they love throwing in references to their other titles in their games. Its clear some of you haven’t played another PG title besides Bayonetta 1/2 and NieR: Automata. The PlatinumVerse is bound to happen one day, but that game is not B3.
PlatinumGames wouldn’t make a PlatinumVerse with B3, if they wanted to, it would be a completely different game. I also see people saying that PlatinumGames is setting up the PlatinumVerse with B3, because of the AC similarities between the new enemies and Lappy in the first gameplay trailer. Homonculi also have a glowing umbilical cord like object coming from their back, unlike the chimeras, even the homonculus made by Jena Anderson doesn’t have this, and another thing there’s a chimera named Diomedes like the horse demon in B2, but they look nothing alike.
Chimera are shown to have all sorts of different colours, while Homonculi have one set of colours, goopy green humanoid bodies with white armor that has hints of gold/black, and language transcripts (which Chimera do not have) from their green/blue/purple aura. Even though chimera and homonculi look kind of similar, they have different attributes that separate them from one another. In AC, humans can transform into chimera from red shift, and humans like Jena Anderson can create chimera as well, but they’re primary origin is the Astral Plane and not bio-engineered like the Homonculi. Chimera in AC are said to be creatures from the Astral Plane, while the enemies in B3 are bio-weapons. There’s this one boss called Homunculus that evolves in AC, but that’s about it. The enemies in AC are called Chimera, and the ones in B3 are called Homonculi.
I’ve seen so many people saying that the enemies in ASTRAL CHAIN are the same ones in Bayonetta 3, and this is false.
